Ich frage mich, wie lange Menschen das akzeptieren werden. Immer mehr Menschen können keinen Zugang zu einer medizinischen Grundversorgung haben oder nicht zum Mediziner gehen, weil es ihr Budget zu stark ist… während CEO von Gesundheitsunternehmen Hunderttausende auf unserem Rücken verdienen und große Pharmaunternehmen Milliarden von Gewinnen erzielen…
Unsere Gesundheit sollte kein Geschäft sein, sondern ein Recht für alle.

It’s not only healthcare, it’s also dental care not being included in LAMAL.
If you aren’t rich, or do not have the money to go on a „dental tourism“ holiday, your teeth rot in Switzerland.
Doctors, Insurance companies and Dentists are scum at this point.
That’s for once a good thing. Old people have a 300 Franchise and go to the doctor all the time.
I don’t think I am in a bad position financially (i.e. not eligible for subsidies), but currently healthcare costs are roughly 25% of my net income. It’s actually the number one household expense, above rent (although thereabout equivalent) or groceries, and entierly eclipsing utilities or transportation.
That’s … insane.

Healthcare costs over 91 billion CHF per year in Switzerland. There are only 39 health insurance CEOs. They make maybe 0.02% all together. Why don’t you talk about the 99.98% of the cost?
As long as people buy into the bs from the liberals or right wings. That’s how long.
Maybe it would be a good idea to change the system. Considering how many old people there are and how few young, the current system isn’t sustainable anymore

It’s basically a (if you don’t count the cost of the administrative overhead, IT changes necessary, etc.) zero sum game.
Basically the higher franchise *alone* should lower the premiums by 3%.
That this premium decrease will likely be „eaten up“ by the yearly cost explosion – and the premiums will therefore *overall* likely still rise – due to higher demand, aging population, etc. is unfortunate, but not related to the change in franchise.
We are here because the majority of voters choose this way.

Idk how your health can be a right so I will assume you mean healthcare. Why should you be entitled to someone else’s work? If you wanna see how great non-privatised healthcare works, take a look at Austria or Germany. I pay less here for healthcare with a six figure annual salary, than what my friends in Germany, who make 60k/year, I don’t have to endure month long waits and the best German doctors end up working here, bc the pay is better. If you wanna nationalise these things, you’re gonna pay way more for it in taxes, you‘ll get less and you‘ll most definitely start complaining about how doctors and nurses aren’t getting paid enough, because guess what – they will take massive pay cuts.

The only realistic alternative is that healthcare is treated as a properly managed state service. Otherwise the market couldn’t care less if many people cannot afford these services
I feel like a bonus system like with car insurance would help a lot. If you often go to the doctor you will get a higher insurance fee but you will get a protection for this bonus for like one casw a year. I feel liek that would split up the costs more fair and for the ones not abusing it they save money
I wonder how many people go to the doctor for pleasure and will stop doing so if the deductible increases.

As long as we in Switzerland refuse to protest and raise our voice, the corrupt lobby of insurance industry will get its way every time. I never understood why protesting is not part of the culture in Switzerland.
The thing is: Most people think this is good. You should not forget that we are living in a hyper individualistic society where the ideals of calvinism are engraved in people’s minds. Raising cost of healthcare for the chronically ill? Most people respond with a cold „Well, I am not chronically ill so why should I care? I think it’s good that people who don’t take any responsibility for their health get to pay more money for healthcare.“ and if you point out that a lot of chronically ill people are chronically ill because of their genes, something nobody has any influence over, they just respond with „Well, that’s their problem and not mine. I don’t care what happens to other people as long as it doesn’t affect me personally.“
Believe me: this is such a common response to a lot of issues these days: from housing costs to, and I am not kidding, sexual abuse of children – a lot of people don’t care about the suffering of others.
