A unified European force would enhance strategic autonomy in every military domain. It would streamline defence spending and strengthen deterrence, which would become both stronger and cheaper. It would reduce duplications and speed up integration efforts toward a more federal Europe. An army of four million Europeans could protect Europe from Greenland to Luhansk and project global power.
The’ll keep talking about it, but i just dont see it ever happening. How would you even get anything done? By voting? Look how split they are on sending troops to Ukraine as peacekeepers…that would be every military situation.
Try as they might, they are not 1 nation. They are 20+ countries who’s interests sometimes align and sometimes diverge.
With Trump abandoning NATO they may unify as one big army to stop Putin in the near future.

It’ll take long and be very expensive. They’ll also need more of their own energy, so they’ll need more nuclear power plants and invest more in renewables.
