What does being on that list even entail?
lol – Trump is such a dumb fuck.
With a quick search I did not find the consequences to be on this blacklist, does someone knows?
haven’t we been on this list for years? I this clickbait and le redditors shamefully fall for it?
Edit: thought so, this has nothing to do with trump. This is a list of countrys with a trade deficit. As a small nation we can’t import that much stuff (from anybody really), like how many cars or iphones or whatever can we really need? We do not produce here either, so we also do not need tons of steel or whatever, we are simply a small country.
BUT, we have Pharma, we have Cheese, chocolate and watches the entire world wants, so we export a lot, thus we have a trade deficit with probably almost any G20-Country.
Most don’t care. Americans never really cared, apart from putting us on that list.
Please stop falling for clickbait… and that is coming from Swissinfo, shame!
I do hope none of them have unexplained Swiss accounts that need to be frozen.
Cancel F35 orders, buy Gripen, which is a better Suisse allternative in the first place anyway, and get investments out of the USA.
I voted in favor of the F35s, mainly because I didn’t want us to not get any new fighters at all.
It is safe to say, that I now regret my decision…
The US makes it SO fun to be an expat in CH. The Swiss reveled in making it as hard as humanly possible to get a bank account. I can’t wait to see what they do next.
They injured a legal precedent that is older than their own country, and now they pull this. Yeah, let’s see what they do when we withhold our higher education from them in retaliation.
Or, you know, let’s see what happens if a country with the size and population of roughly the new york metropolitan area beats them in a trade war. We’re one of the most stable economies in the developed world. We can bear it. But what will they do if Roche, Nestlé, Glencore and so on are suddenly much, _much_ more expensive?
