      That sucks for whoever wanted to build a block of flats there.

      Hopefully heritage Malta actually looks after this one and doesn’t destroy is like they did in Mosta a few years back for the business center

      Looks like a paleochristian tomb. There is a whole complex in Salina, and a few tombs were discovered during the building of the coast road in the vicinity. As for the question of what lies beneath our feet, depends on the area usually, ranging from nothing to a whole necropolis in parts of Rabat which was used as the cemetery for ancient Melitae (Roman Mdina).

      I live exactly like underneath and I’m seeing them build I’m praying that some of authorities going to stop them first of all to of course protect our heritage second of all to not enclose the residents and block the natural light with „rapid unplanned/questionable permit infrastructure“
