The kind of shop I wonder how they could ever be profitable in todays world of online shopping and competition of IKEA and Action.
      Maisons Du Monde next?

I liked browsing stores like this and returning home with a bunch of interior or kitchen stuff that in no way I needed. Must have been years since I visited a Casa store though. Like Blokker and others, they just can’t compete with the internet.

I went to case once or twice but it was just the same Chinese garbage as in ikea.

    7. Anyone who went to one of these shops the last year could feel the deterioration of the shops. The one in Wijnegem is unflattering, and everything is still the same as it was 10 years ago.

This is exactly what happened with Blokker, an old concept that did not refreshed itself to appeal to the newer generation and shopping habits. Just as with Blokker, you could get all the stuff from online retailers without having to go the shops. For one, I cannot imagine anything why I should go to Casa.

Action knows what it is, cheap and affordable small things with occasional promotions. You go there to get your everyday materials. But Casa, it has garden stuff but isn’t a garden shop, it has kitchen stuff, it has appliances, it has cleaning supplies, it had decorations, but you would not be able to tell what the main focus was.

As people shop more intentionally due to online shopping, you had no reason to step into Casa. Only the few shopping malls and streets survive on pure foot traffic, all the rest needs to attract people by having a clear purpose. Action has that.
