My grandmother was born in 1905. It’s kind of mind-blowing that I knew someone who was not only alive when these photos were taken, but would have fit in perfectly as one of the kids you see in some of them.

I realize this is Norway’s history, but it feels like an alternate reality to modern-day Norway.
