If it helps your search, that is an Apollo capsule. Judging from its condition it was likely used on a moon launch and not in low-earth orbit.
There used to be a display of them at the California science museum in exposition park. Haven’t been in a while. They also have a space shuttle.
I’m not sure about the rover, but the capsule is still there:

The Apollo Command Module is likely from the Apollo-Soyuz docking mission in 1975. It is on display at the California Science Center in Exposition Park.
There is no record of a lunar rover replica being on display at the California Science Center currently, but it could have been a touring one on loan.
That looks like it could be the Apollo 14 capsule and rover that’s currently on display at Kennedy space center.
That said, the command module from Apollo-Soyuz is still in LA, and there have been other Apollo capsules that have moved around on display. There are far fewer rovers (especially in their finished configuration), which is what makes me suspect that it’s the Florida rover.
All I can add after seeing these replies is it was for sure in California/Los Angeles. I do remember a traveling Smithsonian Exhibit at the Spruce Goose dome in Long Beach but she specifically remembers this at Exposition Park.
