Ich bin in einem Restaurant in Seia mit einem ausgezeichneten Panoramablick ins Norden, und die Sicht ist im Moment ausgezeichnet, ich würde weit über 100 Meilen sagen. Also schaue ich aus dem Fenster und in der NNW -Richtung (siehe erstes Foto) in der weit entfernten Entfernung einen bemerkenswert hohen Bergkamm. Sehen Sie das zweite Foto für einen Zoom und einen Filter, der den weitesten und höchsten Kamm besser macht. (Es ist keine Cloud -Bank. Die Kamera meines Telefons ist nicht sehr gut, aber mit dem bloßen Auge ist es offensichtlich ein Bergkamm.)
Mein Gedanke ist, dass es Gerês sein muss, einfach weil ich nicht glaube, dass es noch etwas gibt, was es sein könnte, und Gerês nur 150 km in einer geraden Linie entfernt ist. Aber ich fragte den Restaurantbesitzer; Er weiß nicht, welcher Mountain Ridge es ist, aber er glaubt nicht, dass es sich um Gerês handelt. Ich denke, er unterschätzt, wie weit das bloße Auge sehen kann, wenn der Himmel klar ist.

Portugal is way to hilly for that to be Gerês. it’s likely the mountains south of the Douro River. Maybe Serra do Montemuro.
That’s Viseu.
That’s probably Serra do Caramulo or one of the other mountains that emoldurates Viseu from the northern part of the country

In theory, from the top of Serra da Estrela it would be possible to see, in perfect conditions, Gerês

Seia has an altitude of 550mt so the distance to the horizon is 83.8 km. According to Google maps the direct distance between seia and gerês is 153km. So for sure it isn’t Seia. From the top of the Serra da Estrela the distance to the horizon is 159,5 km
