I guess this is why my Swiss company with operations in the US, Mexico, China, and around the EU is working quite hard to ensure we don’t get caught up in the trade war.
KKS is quite ignorant.
It’s almost certainly option 3. The easiest first (public) response to a problem is almost always to deny it even exists.
If it is indees option 1/2, western leaders seriously need to stop drinking their own koolaid, and remember propaganda is supposed to be for the people and not themselves.
What is happening to her? While I don’t share her political opinions, I used to respect her way of doing politics. Recently, she seems trapped in a series of idiotic public comments.
Trump probably thinks we’re part of the EU lmao
It may be that she just doesn’t know better and blindly trusts her advisers/lobbyists? She’s been doing weird things for a while already, not only since the UBS debacle.
It seems these tariffs are indeed leaving Switzerland out for now. So in that she’s been right. Before you downvote me, what am I missing? Is this a reference to the fact Switzerland will be impacted indirectly because of its EU partners? Because of course it will, but I think she is just referring about the sanctions not targeting Switzerland, which seems to be factually correct.
