One day they say Finland will need three times the current number of immigrants in the next 20 years to support the pension and health care system. The day after they want to discourage the entry of young immigrants through high school tuiton fees . Another day of inconsistency and incompetence in the magical world of Purra and Orpo 🥲.
How much more tax revenue is this going to bring? I can’t imagine that there are hundreds of thousands of foreign lukio students in Finland? According to [this](https://www.oph.fi/sites/default/files/documents/lukio-english-final-web.pdf), there were a total of 96800 students in high school in 2017. And according to [this](https://erudera.com/statistics/finland/finland-international-student-statistics/#google_vignette) there were 22792 international university students in 2024. So a few more millions of euros to the government?
Are they charging tuition to third-party nationals even if they have a residence permit and live here? It’s unclear from the brief summary.
