I was born in a little settlement north-east of Chkhalta (holy hell, writing that in English feels weird) and I was born as georgian and am georgian. You can call that region how you want but Georgians and Abkhazians are just like two siblings. One sibling that does everything and it went well (Georgia) and then the other sibling that constantly gets into trouble and makes all the wrong choices

What is the difference between Georgians, Abkhaz and Ossetians?
Are they not the same people? And why did they want independence?

For those lurking without knowledge of Russian, the title of the book reads “Jews have hidden the fact of Christ’s Georgian Origins” by German Patsatsia.
Idk who the target audience is for this being printed in Russian, but such highly speculative ethnic histories are still common in Georgian academia today.
