      Theoretisch heb ik van de eerste keer gehaald. Praktisch pas bij de 4de poging. Dat was in 2004.

      I’m an instructor.

      Casual driving and succeeding the exam are two different things. The requirements are fuckin high and yes, 80% of adults will failt it, even if they know how to switch gears and respect a priority

      It’s the same people giving the ‚driving tests‘ who also staff and own the ‚driving schools.‘ 

      So, of course the pass rate is always going to be exactly what it needs to be to ensure that the driving schools have exactly the amount business they want from students being fleeced astonishing amounts of money. 

      It’s a racket, a basic task of governance captured by a cartel.

      Veel mensen onderschatten gewoon het theoretisch examen. Ze denken dat ze het gaan halen door gewoon naar het examencentrum te gaan en „dat testje“ te doen.

      En dan zijn ze verbaasd dat ze falen.

      People see the cost of the minimum amount of training and find it very high. Of course, that much money must be enough to go from never driving to passing at the first attempt, right? Absolutely not! From my experience, people are not ready after their lessons or are not able to deal with stress. I was pretty upset when I did my A license and was the only person in a group of 7 to pass. Why didn’t the instructors notice the others weren’t ready? Why did they not stop them from doing the exam without more training?

      Ik was voor mijn eerste praktische test zo zenuwachtig dat ik al na 100 meter iets heel onnozel deed en een grote fout maakte. Heel terecht gebuisd. Dieje arme instructuur heeft me dan wel nog een kwartier laten rondrijden zodat hij iets meer feedback kon geven. Buiten die stomme stoot alles in orde.

      tweede keer erdoor zonder enige problemen. Maar ja, adrenaline is zot he.

      TLDR
      „Vlaams parlementslid Sofie Mertens (CD&V) vroeg de cijfers op. Zij stelt zich vragen bij de huidige aanpak.

      Slechts 53 procent van de kandidaten slaagt bij de 1e poging voor het theoretische rijexamen. Bij een 2e poging is dat zelfs maar 52 procent.
      Na 2 keer falen, moeten kandidaten verplicht theorielessen volgen bij een rijschool. Toch blijkt dit geen garantie op succes, aangezien bij de 3e poging nog steeds 60 procent niet slaagt.

      Ook fraude blijkt een groot probleem bv in Antwerpen: liefst 52 procent van de vastgestelde fraudegevallen in theoretische rijexamens (tussen 2021 en 2024) vond plaats in deze provincie, met Deurne als koploper.

      Slagings% theorie: 53%, 52%, 60% … dat is niet normaal. Dat is geldklopperij.
      Ik heb veel van die vragen gezien,;die vragen zijn niet duidelijk. Hebben niets met verkeersveiligheid te maken.
      Dit is een sector die zichzelf controleerd.
      De jeugd en leerlingenraad vertegenwoordigers, ouderlingen vertegenwoordigers mogelijks in die vragen evaluatie commissies laten meezetelen?
