Why do they think Moldova wants to stand up? 50% of the country is pro-Russian, hates Ukraine, hates Europe, hates Romania, and generally hates everything except Russia, the USSR, and their Great Lider. If you don’t trust me – a random redditor- try to talk to people on your local streets. Poor people can’t think strategically, they are interested in cheap prices, family wealth, fucking old BMWs etc. Russians also tell them they are Moldovans speaking Moldovan language not Romanian, lol, and they trust them with great pleasure.
I really doubt the country is capable to „fight“ without Romania and other EU-countries. I would even say, Moldova has to be soooooo grateful europeans still play this game and do not ask them to disappear.

In all seriousness, there’s no possible way for Moldova to stand up because there’s no real army and if there was, it wouldn’t be big enough. We need EU support if we dare to try to stand up to anyone really.
