India has one of the most consistent and predictable set of foreign policy relations out there.
It’s just not one Americans or Europeans empathize with. They really aren’t shifting in any significant ways. During the war in Ukraine, they have moved closer to the west (USA moreso) to counter China’s influence and closer to Russia who has been increasingly sanctioned by the west.
That’s the real definition of non-aligned/multi-aligned which India outwardly states is their foreign policy.
They are a resource poor country of 1.4 billion people. They do not want enemies. Europeans especially cannot grasp that concept nor do they care to
