    1. N26 is good and they give you a very little interest to keep the money in the saving account. But I still have my Commerzbank as well. If I have to star paying I will probably cancel it.

    2. Same boat, just saw the email

Edit – i dont know, is there something like take your iban with you. New account means new iban and then i would have to recall where do i have direct debit set.

    3. I don’t like N26, customer service is awful.

With 700 € minimum income, you can get free accounts with DKB. I, personally, have good experiences with them.

    4. Im also looking to change my bank because of this.

I hear C24 (Check24) N26, and ING mentioned a lot. I’m very unsure about C24 and N26 so it will most likely be ING for me, but they apparently have no realtime transactions (yet).

    5. Just search up check24/Finanzfluss (Girokonto) Bankvergleich.

I just recently switched and I thought DKB/C24/ING had pretty good conditions, but that all depends on your needs

I also received this email today and opened an account with N26 straight away. It was done within 30 minutes.

You hear some negative reports about N26 (just google it), but also that things are still changing for the better. It’s just a relatively „new“ bank. My wife has been a business customer there for years without any problems. You also need to be aware that N26 is an online-only bank. So you won’t get any personal on-site help and have to do EVERYTHING online/by cell phone. That’s not a problem for me, on the contrary. But some people seem to be surprised by it afterwards.

Of course, I’ll keep my Commerzbank account for a while to be covered if something doesn’t work out with the N26 account.

If you‘re used to Commerzbank you could switch to comdirect. It’s their online-only subsidiary, free with at least 700€ monthly income. I have all of my accounts there: checking, shared, savings, portfolio and i’m very happy with it.

Got this mail too, wondering how to proceed. I use Commerzbank for my salary and major transactions and have N26 for everyday expenses, as it is easy to operate. Though I didn’t have had any issues with N26, there is a bit doubt to adopt it as my main bank account based on the horror stories I have heard and the fragile nature of an new gen bank.
