This has been true for a very long time, but has clearly not been a governmental priority. It’s time the EU stood on its own two feet.

Russian allies as North Korea and Iran could fix own security. USA allies as UK and Israel could fix own security. But modest of European, Germany, Poland, Baltic States, Ukraine, STILL cannot to do the same because of interference of the USA.
Only when USA will say: „We not cop, therefore defend yourself against armed, and constantly treating by guns, criminals by arming themselves“ Europe will start to do so.
But USA at the same time doesn’t want to be a cop and doesn’t want those who are threatened with weapons to be armed.
