Modi expressed his desire to strengthen U.S.-India ties, adopting Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan with his own “Make India Great Again” twist. Among key topics discussed were increased U.S. military sales, energy exports, and a forthcoming extradition of a 2008 Mumbai attack plotter. 

While Modi sought to ease tensions over India’s neutral stance on the Ukraine war, Trump highlighted India’s willingness to reduce tariffs on U.S. goods. The two leaders also touched on immigration, with Modi pledging to accept verified undocumented Indians from the U.S., as Trump continues his crackdown on illegal immigration.
