If this is the end result, gonna be a huge blow to Ukraine. And speaking strictly from geopolitical aspect, zelensky miscalculated.

The ceasefire offered in early months of war seems like a better offer in retrospect than whatever Ukraine and zelensky are going to end up with. That’s the miscalculation I’m talking about. Whether the war was going to last this long or US’s aid might end up conditional following change of guard has to be calculated.
The US showing all its allies that dependance on them for security is no longer viable.
Absolutely ludicrous. The guy says to sede territory to Russia and no Nato guarantees. This in essence means that Russia can just invade again in 5 years after another buildup.
Besides that, Ukraine is a nation with a plethora of experience in peer to peer warfare now in a modern equipped environment, they would be a huge boon on that alone if they joined Nato. Current 40 year old carreer soldiers/officers in Nato only have experience fighting insurgencies.
But whatever, let everything burn to let trump be able to float how he „saved“ Ukraine.
This is just as ridiculous as that dumb*ss who nominated Elon Musk for the Nobel peace prize. One big circlejerk at the cost of everything is what US politics is now
Does this mean if we go to war with China, we can expect no help from European allies? Alliances go both ways.
