Die Türkei nennt das ROC offiziell als die "Griechische Verwaltung des südlichen Zyperns" während TCs uns die griechische (Rum) Seite nennen. Viele Touristen und Ausländer haben in den letzten zwei Jahrzehnten dazu tendiert, die Situation als griechische und türkische Seiten streng zu definieren. Tut das weh? Verändert oder verstärkt sich die Kampagne des (sub-) Ministeriums diese Erzählung? Gibt es eine Hoffnung auf eine zypriotische Identität an sich?

Την ίδια στιγμή αυτός ο τύπος είναι υπουργός ενώ έχει τεράστια σύγκρουση συμφέροντος καθώς σύμφωνα με το βιογραφικό του έχει υψηλή θέση στην JCC.

What we see here is a rhetoric to that of ethnic cleansing in Israel, supported and backed by the countries who colonized Cyprus and use Cyprus as a supply ground zero for the Gaza conflict.
Cyprus is better off Greece, in fact, Cyprus is pretty much better than Greece. And for any 3rd person in the room let me sum it for you:
Greece doesn’t have anything substancial to give to Cyprus other than cultural support, sponsoring events and supplying schoolbooks. In fact, Russia, Israel and the UK are doing a better job sustaining Cyprus economy.
Like it or not we are part of the EU together. A lot of other EU countries share some online platforms for things like public transport or health care. Austria/France, Belgium/France, Belgium/Germany as some examples.
For the pepple complaining about the statement. Yeah in Cyprus there 2 major ethnicities and a few minor ones. However when one ethnicity invades and ethnically cleanses 1/3rd of the country’s lands then it’s natural that the ethnicity on the receiving end will be pushed towards the ones they identify more as it’s a basic survival mechanism. And this has happened for both sides at variois points when feeling threatened.
