The BJP have not been in power since 1998. Plus for a party that promotes heavy welfare policies, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP, translated to The Common Man Party) were very corrupt – after 10 years in, anti incumbency took center stage.
What is surprising is the fact that the Congress party had ZERO seats even though their vote share went up slightly.
The BJP didn’t just win—they crushed the opposition. AAP is broken, Congress is a joke, and if this keeps up, India will effectively be a one party state.
