      Right, because the real estate investors brought a lot of goodness to Luxembourg. It still wouldn’t stop companies from building and selling apartments. Those buying to rent rather increase the bubble.

      If they really want to do something land prices have to come down. But it’s very unlikely that conservatives will challenge powerful land owners to sell.

      In fairness, the cap was fairly shortsighted. It was proposed when interest rates were super low. Not even considering that, you know, they could go up.

      No investor will pay 4-5% mortgage interest for a 3.5% return.

      Honestly, the government should have thought this one through better. I’m all for caps…that are better thought out
