Ich habe dieses Foto am 25. Januar aufgenommen (musste vielleicht die Helligkeit auftauchen, um es richtig zu sehen) und der Stern, den ich umkreiste, war viel größer und heller als alles andere, was ich in dieser Nacht gesehen habe, also fragte ich mich, ob jemand wusste, was es war?

I’m not sure, I can see the lovely Orion constellation though 😊 I use an app called Night Sky which is brilliant to help you find out which planets and stars you’re looking at. Hopefully someone will let you know soon ✨
It’s in about the right spot to be Jupiter. If you want to check for yourself you can load up any of those online star maps and choose the date, time, and observation location and match the formations.
Pretty sure that’s Jupiter. Just checked on Stellarium app
Could be Jupiter although I think it should be a little bit too the left and somewhat higher.
You can easily check it out though by using Stellarium.
Stellarium is well worth a look if you’re trying to figure that sort of stuff out. Just point it at the location and it’ll tell you the name of all the stars, constellations, planets etc in their correct location.
The three stars in Orion’s belt point upwards to Aldebaran, and on the 25th of January, Jupiter was right above it. So it’s jupiter. With a decent set of binoculars, you should be able to see a few of its four large Galilean moons 😊
Looks like it may be the star Sirius.
8.2 light years away, the brightest star in the night sky.
Through a large enough telescope, one can also resolve the binary companion, Sirius b… a white dwarf star that orbits very close to the main star.
Stellarium (free software for PC and Android) says: definitely Jupiter.
I think you’re seeing Jupiter. It’s been near Orion lately.
Grab an app like Stellarium, load it up and point your phone at it.
