      People who are fairly interested in sports know who he is. But most probably dont, maybe they recognize the name due to news etc. Tennis is pretty insignificant in Norway.

      I don’t watch sports. I’ve only heard his name but I don’t know who he is or what he does.

      I do watch sports, but mostly winter sports. I have to admit, I had to double check to confirm he’s the tennis player, not the golfer (Hovland). But yes, familiar with the name.

      Yes, but since he is not doing winter sports we think he is a wierdo.

      What’s up with these people? Me and most people that I know know who Ruud is. He is one of our most cherished athletes, and I believe he have received an award; “Best Norwegian Male Athelete” or at least he was nominated.

      I’d be surprised if I met a fellow Norwegian who doesn’t know who he is.

      You’ll see his name and face in all the big newspaper at least once every other week or so.

      His tennis matches are quite frequently highlighted in Norwegian media, so I would assume most people who care a little bit about non-winter sports would at the very least, be aware of who he is.

      I’m not particularly interested in tennis, myself, but I found myself paying a little bit of attention to his games after I was told by my grandpa that we’re distant relatives. Shouldn’t make any difference considering I don’t know the guy at all, but VG always seems to write articles whenever he’s in a tournament, so it’s been quite easy to follow his performances.

      I know who it is, but i watch sports. I know all the norwegian athles in Norway.

      Never heard of him, I am a grown man late thirties who stay pretty up to date on news, but have zero interest in sports. Going by the comments he seems to be a known name at least for people who like sports.

      I know very well. Have been both a ball kid and line judge for his dad when he was the top ranked player in Norway

      He’s well known and his career has been well covered by the Norwegian media.

      I don’t think people in this forum saying no is representative to the general public.

      I know his name. It’s the tennis dude, right? Think the radio said he was pretty damn good too, like top tier player, if I’m not mistaken.
