Do they have an “intersection””over there? A hyper-intersection perhaps?
Did the chickens stop producing eggs? Is an evil person hoarding all of them?

is one of their biggest markets after Be and NL.
edit. they use to have them in Bulgaria as Piccadilly, and the stores were so nice with plenty of nice products way better quality than Be.

DelHaize in the states (this is from the late 90’s early 2000’s in Central Florida) is also really bad in the states. It’s viewed as a super cheap and not great quality supermarket. Like Aldi, Lidl, are cheap and you shop there because they are less expensive but the quality isn’t bad. This could have changed but Food Lion in the states is super dirty, the quality is really bad. When I came here I was blown away by DelHaize and thought it was a complete 180, when my friends who I grew up with came here they were also flabbergasted.

Wait till you learn that it’s the U.S. sales that keep Delhaize and Albert Heijn afloat

Funny thing is that « Food Lion » in the states is one of the lower end grocery stores. Like anyone who shops at Delhaize would not es t to shop there. They also own Stop & Shop & Hannaford’s – one of the largest grocery chains in the US. But for some off reason we’re in such financial straights here they had to sell off franchises of their flagship stores.

FYI in Romania they are everywhere and called “mega image” with the same lion logo.

And they seem to be supporting [the Trump side](https://www.nrc.nl/nieuws/2024/09/29/philips-en-ahold-doneerden-geld-aan-omstreden-amerikaanse-politici-a4867435) of things.
