Ja.
Maybe someone accidentally added your number as a 2FA mobile number, or the previous owner of your phone number did so.
Probably your number is recycled. If you have no account with them you can safely ignore the SMS.
Unless you work with Bitget regularly and need to see that – block that fucking number. The mere fact that there’s an IP you could accidentally bump, whereby it would get more information about your device, is a red flag.
Take action against this shit, don’t let it build up to the point where the 50th one you keep getting accidentally gets pressed when in your pocket or you’re swiping something while it comes up. Block it.
By the way – YOU are the authority on this. If you don’t know it, then it’s foreign. End of story. If you work with a service later that is trying to send you messages and you get absolutely nothing, check your blocked numbers lists (or whatever the device uses) to see if it’s hitting spam.
The other people, in general, who are like „Oh yeah, just ignore it. lah lah lah“ are the encourangement to become an attack surface. Do you like people ringing your doorbell when they aren’t invited? If you could block them, would you? Don’t you think it’s a security risk? It is. Trust yourself. You basically never need to ask reddit this stuff anymore, you are the authority now.
