Bitte schlagen Sie nicht vor, lokal zu kaufen, da es auf dieser Insel keinen Händler gibt, der 2,0 DSG -Dieselmotorengolfs importiert.

But im not sure where you can check in regards to how much it would cost to ship the car from Japan to here. Maybe send an email to express trailers and other importers which get containers? 🤷♂️
Dealers should be able to tell you what expenses importing a car entails.
Importing cars from Japan requires a specific dealer license, something which only a handful of maltese importers possess. Therefore you’ll need one of these dealers to handle the importation and logistics for you. I suggest giving a call to either Mibrum or Ventur dealers who’ll be able to help you out and provide you with quotations.
I saw a post on Are You Being served by a guy called Marcus Zarb who insisted that it is possible to import yourself if you are willing to do a lot of leg work and paperwork. According to him, the delivered price will be half of what you would expect to pay from a dealer.
