Während der Sowjetzeit wurde es in eine Bibliothek umgebaut. Heutzutage ist es eine Philharmonie (Konzertsaal für klassische Musik) und das einzige gotische Gebäude in der Gegend. It’s not that surprising. Catherine the Great brought the bulk of them in that area. Even now, if you go to Volgograd, ex Stalingrad, ex Yekaterinburg, you’ll see some german architecture that survived Stalin’s bullshit.
