really sick of hearing about billionaires crying about how life is just so tough as they wipe away their crocodile tears with piles of cash they can’t spend in multiple lifetimes.

Andreessen spoke with New York Times opinion writer Ross Douthat yesterday, and Gizmodo found where NYT edited out a comment made by Andreessen that risked making him sound unbelievably inept at understanding the political sphere he seeks to fix under Trum’s second administration.

If only his ancestors managed to spell Anderson correctly, he might not be such a prisoner of insecurity and desperately overcompensating 24/7.

all that extra real estate on top, and yet he still isn’t particularly intelligent. you’d think the attic gives him more processing power huh

I can’t get over how his whole shift to the right is based on Zuck getting criticized for how he was going to give away his money. Talk about a toddler throwing a tantrum over hurt feelings.. And the world will suffer… 🤦🏼♂️

My take away isn’t that he thought Hillary was president, but that he’s such a well trained parrot, with such a lack of original thought or active thinking as he speaks, that he intrinsically blurts out ‚Hillary Clinton‘ as if on command.
EDIT; To explain, according to the audio transcript he corrected himself, but the sheer utterance of ‚Hillary Clinton‘ while bitching about vague, ill-defined, and made up bullshit wokeness and mean government treated me bad… There’s not a single original thought or authentic experience in anything he said. He’s just repeating the script and has become so good at memorizing all the words he sometimes says them out of order.

Real life is becoming like that scene from silicon valley where Gavin belson claimed that billionaires are being persecuted like the Jews in Germany.

Humpty needs to stop crying and realize that he and his other friends have too much money and need to give it away

Being a Trump supporter requires forgetting that Trump was president for four years during one of the worst crises the modern world has faced and failed spectacularly at managing it. He will lower your taxes, however. And for those of us who don’t make enough money for that to matter, keep trans people out of bathrooms or whatever.

It’s been so obvious Andreessen is a massive fucking moron for so long. I remember some long form interview or article about him from 10+ years ago, when I still thought Musk was brilliant, and I came away from it wondering how Andreessen was this VC titan when he was so transparently stupid.

I listened to the interview. It shows the level of delirium these people have. He talks about how business was suffering because of the radical left. Anyone in Silicon Valley knows that most people are busy working and making money. There is no radical left movement.
For sure, there are stupid things related to DEI and identity politics that I think needs to change. That’s not the problem. These people are authoritarians that don’t like dissent.
They now created a culture where employees are constantly afraid of being laid off, they love it.
He invested billions in useless crypto startups and he is blaming regulation for his failure. Apparently we should just let these scams go unchecked.
He claims the Biden administration was going to eliminate AI startups and consolidate AI in 3 companies. Not only absurd but also we know Biden doesn’t have the power to do this.
Anyway, we are entering the dark ages. Hope to see you all on the other side.
