Finnisches Roggenmehl und Blutknödel namens Palttu oder Rössi sind die zweitschlechtesten traditionellen Gerichte "Delikatesse" in der Welt laut Bewertungen von tastetlas.com. Sie werden nur durch Blutpfannkuchen ersetzt, die auf der Website als schwedische Delikatesse bezeichnet werden. Ich dachte, das wäre ein Wettbewerb, bei dem wir sie einmal schlagen könnten! Leider nein… Fairerweise muss man sagen, dass Blutpfannkuchen oder Veriletut in Finnland traditionell auch sehr beliebt sind.
Sowohl Palttu- als auch Blutpfannkuchen sind absolut abscheulich und ich würde jedes Mal buchstäblich weinen, wenn ich gezwungen würde, diese in der Kita und in der Schule zu essen.

Seems I’m going to have to try palttu, as it is impossible to find a good blood sausage in Finland. Musta makkara is fine, but not quite high-grade blood sausage in my book.

Veripalttu I’ve never had but in school blood pancakes were one of my favourites.
Surely they are survival dishes at a time when you needed to use it all. The iron content would have been handy with lack of other foods available.
