The estimated capacity of the solar farm of the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in the Indian state of Gujarat is set to cross 30,000 MW (30 GW).

In its first phase, the company has already operationalized a cumulative 1,000 MW solar energy capacity at Khavda. The park’s construction will finish in the next five years, and the entire capacity is expected to be commissioned by 2029.

According to an International Energy report, through 2026, India is predicted to provide over half of the world’s new capacity expansions for renewable energy.

This increase is credited to the nation’s aggressive renewable energy targets, which demand 40 percent of electricity generated by renewable sources by 2030.
