There are often discussions about the remotest locations in Armenia and Nrnadzor is definitely up there as a primary candidate.

Fun fact: it is farther from Yerevan than Van.

    2. Every once in a while i open Google maps and find remote villages with no photos, and wonder how it’s like there, how people live their lives, and the urge to visit.

Looking on google maps, it’s crazy both how close the village is to the border and how all the mountains between the village and border make it seem a world away from everything else. Looking at the landscape, it makes sense how Armenians were able to maintain a majority even after the great surgun considering all the remote valleys in the region.
