Positiv zu vermerken ist meiner Meinung nach: Social Media wird immer radikaler und immer mehr "Normal" Die Nutzer sind der ständigen Hetze und des Hasses überdrüssig und kehren diesen Plattformen den Rücken, sodass sie nun um die verbleibende Bevölkerung werben müssen, um weiterhin Gewinne zu erzielen.

They are adapting to Trump’s policies already
Zuckerberg has essentially admitted that Facebook was pressured by governments to censor information – for political purposes.
He’s now saying Facebook won’t do the same for the Trump administration.
Is that bad?
It feels like Zuck saw the possibility to save/make a few more microbillion dollars by ending the cost-sink of the moderation team/to attract all the Nazis who’ve found Twitter more attractive. Then again, Instagram already has a lot of Nazis.
In the [Guardian coverage](https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2025/jan/07/meta-facebook-instagram-threads-mark-zuckerberg-remove-fact-checkers-recommend-political-content) he also said he wants to „get rid of a bunch of restrictions on topics like immigration and gender that are just out of touch with mainstream discourse“. Ah yeah, because the mainstream discourse is getting more and more Nazified.
But hey, why should he care about delaying the collapse of civilization, if he can make more money instead?
