Jupiter durch ein 16-Zoll-Observatoriumsteleskop

This was taken back in October using a 16″ Meade LX200 observatory telescope.

Equipment:

– 16″ Meade LX200

– iOptron iCam464C

– Firecapture

– Stacked 10% of 1000 frames in AutoStakkert

– Post processed in AstroSurface

It was captured during below average seeing and it was a PAIN to focus. I’m still not fully satisfied with the image quality but I decided to give up for now and try again later. I need to go back and test it again when the conditions are better.

Viewing Jupiter through the telescope is mindblowing. Same goes for Saturn. It’s the best planetary telescope I’ve used and it’s 30+ years old.
