Hallo zusammen! Ich bin gerade in eine neue Wohnung in Deutschland gezogen und habe das in meinem Schaltschrank gefunden (siehe Bild).
Ich muss einen Internetanbieter anrufen. Mir wurde gesagt, ich könnte die Telekom oder die SWU nutzen. Irgendwelche Vorschläge, was man am besten tun kann?

Congrats, you have a fiber connection!
The device belongs to telekom, so if you want to get connected quickly, Telekom would be the best bet.
There is usually a code on the bottom of that black box. Write it down as they might need it.
Seems like you have Glasfaser. The bottom 2 boxes are Telekom equipments. Meaning you can get internet pretty quickly with Telekom. Look up their prices, if you are ok with them.
I got a relatively quick appointment (within 1.5 weeks), by using their chat service, and telling them I choose the provider who installs internet the quickest, asking them how fast it will be.
SWU is stadt werke Ulm, they have office you can phone get it just as fast as with Telecom.
They speak English in the shop SWU telenet not to confuse with all the other service they provide.
Service center is at Karl Str. 3. 5 mins walk from the HBF.

What you have there are 2 finer connections from two providers.
The white one at the top is from SWU and the black one at the bottom is from the Telekom.
You can choose which provider you want to use
The one from the Telekom is currently plugged into one of the network ports at the patch panel at the top. Somewhere in your flat should also be a network port similar to that. That is where you connect your router via lan.
That applies if you have a Telekom contract.
The one from SWU also has a coaxial cable plugged in, so I’m not sure if they convert the signal to cable so you can plug in a cable router in the living room. That’s something you’d have to ask the provider.

Wow that cabinet is identical to mine.
I have often internet hiccups in some days using that from Telekom, no idea why.
