      But of course, if you are an American, you are not guaranteed safety in the country by the government.

      People don’t understand these ratings. Most likely you are fine, BUT there is risk which is also elevated by the more challenging diplomatic situation.

      Personally, I wouldn’t travel. I have kids etc. why take the risk?

      Been there many times since the war broke out and it’s fine. Traveling to Minsk in January myself. Behave and be respectful… helps if you know Russian.

      As a Polish citizen I would not go there and to Russia. No guarantee that those regimes won’t do example out of you for propaganda purposes. Additionally I think especially in Russia they invest a lot in anti-western, anti-polish, anti-american propaganda so I would not take a risk to be a tourist there right now (also for the probability of being hearrased). Eg. in Russian TV they claim that they can nuke Warsaw any day… LoL 🙂
