Competition breeds innovation. Having SpaceX monopolize space launch, especially with Elon in a position of power in the new administration, could suppress progress.
It would be the funniest freaking thing if Peter Beck ended up building the carbon fiber ITS that Starship was originally intended to be and ran Elon out of business

This concern about Space X monopolising space with Trump in power is overplayed. Jared Isaacman Is his own man and keen on the future of the space industry and I’m certain will go out of his way to avoid favouring Space X.
Rocket Labs Neutron will be a good competitor to Falcon 9 but not Starship which is in a league of its own at present.
