FTS was activated after it was determined that the vehicle was unable to continue the mission. Cause of anomaly is under investigation.
While difficult to determine exactly given the upper level winds distorting the exhaust trail, my impression was the vehicle had a little trouble maintaining a true course. A couple of minutes in it started spiraling.
Regardless, they got a lot further than with their first attempt.

Corkscrewing exhaust trail is never a good sign.
1st stage TVC failure around T+80s according to company officials. S2 had thrust, but couldn’t help. Fairing worked. The team is working hard for the next flight yadda yadda. No further information.
The vehicle is a sorta JAXA spinoff all-solid design, intended to cater small crew low cost rapid launch demands. You know what that means.
