While ever CEO and CFO, especially Elon Musk, is pushing a slow to hire economy where a lot of Gen Z are having harder and harder time finding jobs. This ain’t a good idea if you wanna boost birth rates, or even has a future. It turns out increasing the amount of hardship early in a person’s career decreases their ability start familes, let alone kids.

Japan tried to cut employment protections and let employers classify more workers as contractors in the 80s, turns out it ended up costing Japan in the long run by destroying these guys‘ economic futures

About freakin‘ time they look into this cause. Untangling the insane work culture will do way more than any attempts by the Tokyo government to „launch dating apps“

There’s plenty of people who would like to have a spouse and kids

Problem is with the world as it is many don’t have the time/energy to do so

And the ones that do question if it’s even ethical to bring someone into what is effectively a slow sinking ship

    4. Seems pretty logical

Animals in general breed less and have lower birth rates when faced with greater adversity

It’s part of the reason for the extinction event we are in

Why did seemingly every nation adopt the same approach to reducing all reinvestment into their citizens in the 20th century?
