    1. Were you using the driving schools car for the test? If so, it’s probably rent for that.

Its normal to have two driver lessons right before the test… you are also paying for using the car during the test, and for the instructor to wait for their car to get back (they usually wait at the svv)

    3. If that is the rental cost for the car, yeah… they are screwing you big time.

It costs a lot, and the reason is you will drive their car and the driving instructor will have to spend time driving with you to and from the exam place and waiting for you while you have the test. So yeah, that checks out.

    5. Driving instructor here. This looks suspicious to me. At our school we charge 855 for the warm up before the test, and then 2300 for the test. Is your test a far drive from the school?

Not only yours, all driving schools in Norway abuse its customers to some degree. The prices they charge does not justify the time and skill of the instructor and the wear and tear of the cars use. They charge because they have the law on their side and customers have no other option left.

    7. When I did my driving test 3 months ago it also looked like this. I got one final driving class before the test, but we used the same car 👍

I don’t remember the exact cost of all my stuff, but I had to pay for a double driving lesson before my appointment (about 1600kr), the actual driving test, and then the hire of the driving school’s car while I *did* the driving test. The driving school never had *extra* cars, so the instructor was basically unable to work while the test was ongoing, and my instructor waited at vegvesenet for me to be finished.

All told, I seem to remember my bill for that day being in the regions of 5000. So depending on what else you’re paying for that day, you *may* be being taken advantage of. But it doesn’t seem *that* far beyond the realm of expectation, based on my experience. And if you didn’t pay *anything* else that day, I’d say you’ve gotten a bargain.

    9. It is normal to have a lesson before the driving test itself. Did you jump right into the test or did you drive for 45min before that? If you don’t ask specifically not to have a lesson before the test most schools would add it as it is normal to have one

Price may differ between regions but you get 30min warmup and borrowing their car while doing the test. Nothing wrong here

    11. Did the driver instructor join you on the actual test drive with vegvesen? It might be it?

As, you have a warmup from 13:30-14:00, and if the instructor still joined you with the actual test between 14:00-15:30, that also might be included?

As the „Førerprøve“ charge, is just only for the loan of the car.

This is how i was charged for my two last: https://imgur.com/VnXy2LN , but i didn’t have an instructor with me at the test.

    12. On the day of the test I got charged for Førerprove (car rental) 1730 (2 hours) and 870 for a warmup session of 45min, nothing more. I paid the fee to vegvesen myself.
