Funny thing is their county seat is named Vevay, after the town of Vevey.
But there’s quite a lot of stuff named after Swiss places in northern America. Fun facts, there’s 3 Lake Genevas in the US, and 3 towns named Lake Geneva in NA.
Special mention for New Bern in North Carolina that straight up uses the same coat of arms as canton Bern.
Sacramento, the Capital of California, used to be called New Helvetia. Many believe Swiss John Sutter is the Father of California.
