    >In the more than 10 years Nixon has spent identifying cybercriminals, the man known as “Waifu” stands out for the jaw-dropping stupidity that brought the police to the quiet residential street in Kitchener where he lived in his grandfather’s house.

Youth is wasted on the young.

Crazy how online actions can lead to real-world consequences and a reminder that people can’t hide behind screens forever, especially when they’re causing harm.

  3. Threatening one of the chief research officers of a place that does cybersecurity is just one of the stupidest thing ever.

  4. And to be super duper clear, the large image displayed prominently in the article and thumbnail is not the Snowflake hacker, and also, the article doesn’t actually show the hacker at all, masked or unmasked.

No surprises there, but it’s a pretty dumb use of the word unmasked in this context.

I saw Allison Nixon speak at a conference years ago. I forgot what she presented, but I learned to never cross her. Total badass in our industry. Really happy to see her get more recognition.
