They are fine, just a bit salty.
kinda lol you could be eating way worse stuff that is frozen
Not if you’re a fish
Every food that you see inside a box, is not healthy
Please don’t buy stuff made by Vici regardless, they violated sanctions and continued to do business with Russia even this year.
Yes, it is healthy to eat food.
Try to find one with the heart sign, „sydänmerkki“. They are usually the healthiest option in each product category.
They aren’t really healthy, but they’re not unhealthy either based on their nutritional values.
Reasonable amounts of protein, not bad amounts of fatt or sugar. With other kutrients, they fall short, but as long as you have a diverse and recommended diet, you can happily eat them – just no on every single meal.
I’m sure there are varied opinions on these but… Frequently eating fish fingers? Probably not so healthy. Having them once in a while? Probably won’t make a difference.
There are plenty of frozen fish available that’d be worth giving a go. The key with eating fish is to keep it as varied as possible, if you’re interested in health benefits. And that also means choosing some of the fish that are a bit further down on the food chain, too.
How old are you? Eating ’healthy’ is always a relative thing.
Is it healthier than eating maple syrup glazed bacon? Most probably.
Is it healthier than eating lean salmon or some beans/lentils for protein? Absolutely not.
The crunchy crust on these fish fingers is the biggest unhealthy aspect, it’s just simple carbs and fat with little actual nutrition. Makes it tasty, but not very healthy.
Ask Kanye, he likes fishsticks
If you want to „upgrade“ them health wise, looking for the filet version instead of the grounded version.
Also look for the small „red heart“.
Try Järvikalapuikko, they’re tasty, a bit more expensive though. And they’re local.
Those are and taste like crap. Proper are fileekalapuikot, as in filee that its made from fish fillet and not grounded fish remains.
They are bit more expensive but lots better. My other kid actually doesnt like fish much but for some reason likes those kalapuikot. I make fileekalapuikot for others and jokingly kalatonpuikot for her (fishless)
Mmmh surely not the worst but still somewhat processed food.
If I had to choose an option of “healthy” foods, this wouldn’t make the list. I also wouldn’t put it on a list of things to avoid. We need more context like how often you eat them and what other aspects of your health and diet are like. That said, fish sticks or other frozen fried products once a week or so seems acceptable. If you’re talking about fish sticks 5 days a week, that seems not great.
Not a healthy food but healthier than many other options!
They are just okay, actually better than average
If you want to eat „clean“ then these are not „clean“ foods. But definitely not bad for you either. Not the most nutritious food you can have, but having these with some clean foods like mashed potatoes and vegetables, is definitely a fine choise.
Fish products like this are often from massive trawlers that destroy and kill just about everything in their path. Massive amounts of by catch (sea lift killed just to be then throw over because it’s not what they wanted). So definitely not healthy for the planet overall.
Nutritionally I guess they’re ok. Not terrible but also not really great either.
I use them as a good base. Can make great fish tacos if you dress them up and fo a good guacamole and sour cream
Healthy is a spectrum. They aren’t great but neither the worst.
That said, looks like they are UPF, which makes me lean towards the unhealthy end.
