I’ve read that this area was quite important historically, and there were numerous sites that still needed to be properly studied before the dam was built and therefore many of them submerged. Is that true?
It’s a nice view when going towards Kazbegi, that’s for sure, and a huge water supply for Tbilisi as far as I know
