as someone from a country which handed over land to withhold peace for many years i can confidently say that giving away terrority is just delaying a fight which is bound to happen eventually but armenia cant take a full blown war at this time too

News like this is being pushed by either Turkey or Russia to start up another riot or protest against Pashinyan. Don’t fall for it.
Azerbaijan is going to return our 31 villages because NATO literally just said it agrees with the 1991 agreement on borders which include those 31 villages
Aliyev wants Yerevan also. Does Pashinyan have a red line there? It will be war if he doesn’t give it up.
If you are doing this, do it in September so they won’t have time to find new excuses to attack. At least we will postpone any military offensive by a year and have some more time to build up defenses.

does no one realize this a part of the border demarcation process? We hold parts of territories that are de facto azeri territories while Azerbaijan holds a territory that is de facto Armenian with a reservoir in it, some said the plan was to come to an agreement to switch these areas back to who actually owns them but Azerbaijan isn’t agreeing. Read Davit’s news posts, he does them for a reason.
Everyone is finding faults in this while nearly everyone understands that a new war is unwinnable for AR at this point.

No he is just showing weakness and greenlighting more demands. Azerbaijan is seeing this behavior and testing its limits. They know they can do it because people will justify every surrender with „or they will attack“. After this they will ask for more consession. Then again. Because they know its as easy as just saying „we are going to attack if you dont do it“. And Armenia wont get anything in return.
And eventually they will invade anyways no matter how many concessions we made
Thanks to the wording used in the text, „hand over“, a lot of people are missing that this „some territory“ mentioned is 4 villages that are sovereign, legal, recognized Azerbaijan territory, in legal terms, currently under occupation of Republic of Armenia and are attached to Azerbaijan, not exclaves.
I struggle to see how Armenia can win another war unless the West backs it up. Like at the most forgiving Europe is just distracted right now and „incapable“ of helping Armenia. Will Russia aid Armenia? No, not for a moment. They’re doing ten times worse, and who was it that refused to hand over NKAO to Armenia? They want dependence on Russia, not peace.
The west must arm Armenia the same way they do it with Ukraine
