We still have a law on give books from the time of the knights that carries severe punishment if you eat these fruits.
The law say that you will be fucked up the ass by a Turkish slave and then your hand is chopped off.
Things have come a long way since then, there is no end of people who will replace that poor Turk.
PS the only people who will not be offended and find this funny are the Turks. They are too smart and level headed to not see the joke. Everyone else .. fruit anyone ?
This is most likely a _Phoenix dactylifera_ which should produce [edible dates](https://www.junglemusic.net/articles/DatePalms.html#:~:text=The%20fruit%20or%20pulp%20layer,fruit%20as%20a%20food%20crop.), however I’m unsure if it’s legal to pick since it’s [marked as protected](https://www.maltawildplants.com/AREC/Phoenix_dactylifera.php) and I’m unsure if it counts as being government-owned if planted in public gardens and places. Personally I’ve never considered harvesting any so I can’t vouch for quality or legality
