Not very common. I’ve been living in the area for 54 years, and have maybe seen them 5 times or so.
Super rare! It was an occurrence that does not happen very often! We captured some snaps 75km south from Oslo around midnight. Super fun!
That second photo is fantastic, with the cloud echoing the shape of the curtain.
I haven’t seen the northern lights in 33 years and i live in a rural area a bit further north.
You also have to be lucky to catch them, I was watching tv and if it wasn’t for my gf I would’ve completely missed it lol

It’s very rare, but right now we are in a solar maximum, so chances are increased. I’m in my early thirties and have never ever seen the Northern lights 🙁
For a few secs, I thought that was weed.
