Is seven percent considered to be a lot?
Reddit is a social media, right ? so, if I get your question correctly, you are asking us, users of a social media, if we use a social media ?
7% is nothing.
Well I am fed up too.
But actually whatsapp is the worst, because there is no way I am getting away from it.
Reddit and Instagram and I use both waay too much. I have to actively put away my phone when I eat or drink and it annoys me to no end.
Almost 6%? Wow absolutely devastating numbers, how will the social media companies survive this
Source: Facebook poll
The 7% are the boomers without phones.
I personally dont count whatsapp as social media. Its just a replacement for SMS
Very very rarely i have a customer that doesn’t have whatsapp. I think people just don’t realize that they are using social media.
I don’t use Facebook, still have account as it’s my only link to old family members abroad, I’m getting close to deleting my Instagram account, refuse to open a TikTok or Threads account, use Twitter but close to deleting since Musk destroyed it. WhatsApp is the only one I’ll definitely keep, keep in touch with friends and family, organise meetups etc.
I really can’t stand Instagram, I see some funny stuff but it’s 99.99% clickbait crap or idiots showing off how perfect their lives are (except it’s bullshit as it’s a polished snapshot of their very best moments), causes huge psychological damage, especially to young people. TikTok the same plus China. They can get in the sea.
I use a lot a SM. but I’m trying to clear the field as much as I can.
Firstly, nearly half of the internet traffic in 2022 came from bots and this was before world wide adoption of LLM which makes it even worse (more fake content, more fake users, more fake engagement).
Secondly, the corporations will try to milk more and more those platforms making the products worse for actual users but better for shareholders (feeding more ads, trying to keep you more and more inside).
So it should be clear for everyone that mainstream social media apps will sooner or later turn into complete useless dumpster fire. With the exception probably being the small exclusive online communities.
Does this 7% include toddlers and elderly?
Ask this on Facebook
7% of what? 12 – 80 year olds? Who did they interview?
