Seljuks held Ani for a decade at the very beginning of their inclusions into the region. Everything in their addled mind is „Seljuk“.
I can kinda understand not caring about Armenia history but their dismissive attitude towards the history of their own ancestors is truly smth else.

They look a little sour. Imagine that you really understand what you have found and you are forbidden to talk about it publicly and want to change your own mind about it. This is how complexes, envy and hatred are born.
How can you take people seriously when they themselves can’t take their own history seriously. Like what self respecting historian or archaeologist is going to just overlook clear facts and just make shit up as they go? It’s wild stuff.
