      Pretty sure purple and the Balkans are exactly the same letters pretty much

      In Ukrainian, I was taught it as (loosely converted to English) apchikh

      The horrible transcription is a result of a Latin alphabet lacking letters for sounds that we have letters for in Cyrillic alphabet

      In Cyrillic it is just “апчхи” so 5 letters instead of 7 and not at all strange
