Will turn off stove if you forget to turn it off, or something happens to it.
It is called a ‘komfyrvakt’/stove guard https://www.sikkerhverdag.no/en/fire/fire-prevention/what-you-should-know-about-stove-guards/
It’s called Komfyrvakt. It’s a safety device that cuts power to the stove if it detects overheating.
It’s a *komfyrvakt*, or „stove guard“. It’s purpose is to cut power to the stove if it gets left on and unattended. When it beeps it has detected the stove being on, and you have to press a button to keep power on. These are legally required for all new stove installs in Norway since some years.
I think this is the user manual for your specific model: [https://ctmlyng.no/dokumenter/produkt/mkomfy/Bruksanvisning_Mkomfy_400R_Visning.pdf](https://ctmlyng.no/dokumenter/produkt/mkomfy/Bruksanvisning_Mkomfy_400R_Visning.pdf) Not sure if it is available in English, but you could try asking the distributor: [https://ctmlyng.no/kontakt/](https://ctmlyng.no/kontakt/) (Double check if it is the correct model though)
It’s a device that destroys your food if left unattended for about 3 minutes
If it peeps now and then, you need to replace batteries. Recommended to do in case there are some insurance cases…
